Yes, I just found out that Google will stop selling the current version of its $1500 internet-connected eyewear called Glass to interested buyers as from tomorrow. This is to make room for a more improved model of the wearable device(which is expected to sell later this year under CEO of Nest Labs Tony Fadell. It has recently announced that it will shut down the Google Glass Explorer program.

Before I proceed, let me ask you a question: How much time do you spend on Facebook? Personally, I don't even know how much time I spend on the online social networking service. But, if I should make a guess I think nowadays,due to the nature of my job, I spend 3 hours on Facebook. Oh,I was wrong! from what this app stats shows---6 hours. That's so bad of me.

A smartwatch is not just for sending emails, surfing the net, make phone calls etc. but can also be used to control a car.

The Federal Government says it plans to connect 50 percent of the country's population to 3G mobile broadband services this year. To achieve this dream that many think may never materialized, the Federal government is aiming to complete Phase 1 of a wireless broadband infrastructure upgrade and expansion project, which is part of the National Broadband Plan (2013-2018), by year-end.

Instant messaging app  WhatsApp has climbed to 700 million active users each month, co-founder  and CEO Jan Koum broke the news in Facebook post. He also announced that  30 billion messages are sent everyday through the mobile messaging app. WhatsApp now has more users on its platform than Facebook---its parent company--- messaging app, Facebook messenger. That's a huge leap from 600 million users in August last year.
Time for monetization, WhatsApp?

Ever since Apple unveiled the Apple Watch alongside the iPhone 6 and iPhone Plus handsets, Apple fanboys had been bursting to know the date the device would go on sale. But it appears the wait is almost over as report from 9to5Mac has it that the smartwatch will go on sale in the United States in March.

Sony Corp brought back the Walkman audio player  from the dead at the on-going Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas yesterday, but in a new model that differs from the old in many respects. This new Walkman NW-ZX2 offers high-resolution audio and comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage with a micro-SD card slot to expand memory up to 256GB and Bluetooth-enabled headphones. It runs on the outdated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating and plays your favourites music for 60 hours. But Sony's Walkman doesn't come cheap like the previous ones, it sells for a staggering $1,443(that's twice the price of the iPhone 6 smartphones). Would you buy?

It seems Google is allowing users of its social network Google Plus and video-sharing site YouTube with or more then 500 subscribers to have their own custom URL. A friend of mine just received an email from Google about this. It You can use these custom URLs on your website, blogs, emails or where else you promote what you do, be it online or offline

Mercedes Benz and other car makers like Audi, already said we should expect to see self-driving cars in our streets as from 2030; even though search giant Google is optimistic that they could come as early as 2017. By the way, Daimler, Mercedes parent company, already shown off its self-driving 'Future'  trucks last year.

Chines PC maker Lenovo has just revealed on its Twitter handle that it  shipped 100 millionth ThinkPad computer , which all started in 1992 with the ThinkPad 700, and celebrated the unique milestone machine by naming it ''Eve.'' Lenovo says Eve would have her own Twitter page where she will send out tweets of what's going around her to her fans through out the year.

Wearable technology and Internet of Things(Connected homes) will be the highlights of this year's Consumer Electronic Show. And a wearable did just that on Sunday.

 Belty,  a smart belt that uses built-in 'tiny' motors to fasten itself when you are sitting down and releases when you take in more than what your stomach can hold, is getting everyone's attention at CES Unveiled. The Belty ''smart belt'' is the brain child of French startup Emiota and is due to be out later this year.

Dell's Venue 8 700  series tablet, which is the world's thinnest tablet at 6mm, has won the 2015 CES innovation award Best of Innovation honoree. Laura P. Thomas, chief blogger for the company's corporate blog Direct2dell.com, broke the news in a blog post on Sunday.

We have seen images of Samsung's next flagship the Galaxy S6 online so many a time. Not too long ago, someone shared photos of what he claimed to be the Galaxy S6. However, Many of us took those images with a pinch of salt. We didn't believed the guy at all

It would cost me so much to buy these phones.Oh wait a minute, you don't need to feel sad because Alcatel has a new smartphone called the Pixie 3 that run all three operating systems--Android, Windows and  FireFox--and it is available in four sizes: 3.5-inch, 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5-inch. The smartphones support 3G and LTE(4G).
