As part of its plans to connect more people online, Facebook on Monday, acquired Three year-old Israeli startup Onavo, a mobile analytic company that helps people save money on internet access by reducing the rate of mobile data usage with its developed apps and, also helps developers design better experiences for people. The deal is said to be worth between $100 million to $200 million, the terms of the deal weren't disclosed. But press over there are pegging those amounts.
With Onavo's data compression technology, Facebook goals of spreading internet access will be fulfilled by using data more efficiently.
