After launching in the United States, United Kingdom and in some Asia countries including Japan, Apple has announced that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones will launch in India on Friday, October 17. Apple flagship smartphones will be available across the company's authorized dealers such as Ingram Micro, Redington, Rashi, Peripheral and Reliance. Customers can pre-order the devices on Tuesday, starting at 12.01 am.
While Apple hasn't reveal pricing for the new handsets in India, its major distributors say the price of the 16GB iPhone 6 in India is Rs.53,500($870), the 64GB and 128GB will be priced at Rs.62,500($1,014) and Rs.71,500($1,162). As for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus, the 64GB version will cost Rs.71,500 and the 128GB for Rs.80,500($1,300).
