Apple will never allow you know these iPhone tips/tricks

No one person can know the whole iPhone trick. You might think you are the smartest or tech-savvy guy on planet earth, but there are people who know way more than you do. So read and learn.
Ever wanted "ctrl + f" function on your iPhone? Well most people don't know safari already has it.

       Open a webpage in safari
  • Tap the search menu in the top right corner
  • Type in the word you want highlighted but don't hit the search button. Instead, scroll to the bottom of the list for the results "on this page". Tapping this will highlight the word on the page. You can even scroll through them with the arrows.
  •
  • Enable the Japanese Romaji keyboard, change to it while typing, press on the '123' button, press on _, and get all those funky emoticons presets! ☆〜(ゝ。∂) (>人<;) ( ゚д゚) .

if you would like to hide any app.
First, fill all of your pages with apps (it can be filled with only one app)
Second, fill the very last page full of apps.
Third, put the app you want to hide at the very last spot.
Forth, drag one more app in the page causing the app you want hidden to go the non existant page.
Fifth, put all of your apps back where they were.
If you want to use that app, just go to the search bar and type the app name.
Warning, If you turn off the power and turn it back on, the app will be back on the last page.

This is a very basic tip but it saves me time. Tapping "123" then tapping the character you want then finally clicking back to the main keyboard can be a hassle.
Instead hold down "123", slide thumb to character you want to use then let go. The character will be inputted and your keyboard will be back to normal :)

If you go into the phone app, and dial
*3001#12345#*
and hit call, the "Field Test" application opens, which allows you to see the numerical value of your cellular reception, along with other information about the surrounding cell towers.
In addition, if you hold down the power button until the "Slide to power down" slider comes up and then hold down the home button until the app exits, you can tap on the
carrier namebars in the top left corner to change between the numerical value and the visual representation (in bars) without going into "Field Test" mode.

To disable the numerical values permanently, just reopen the Field Test application, and exit out of it with the home button as you would any other app.

You can use more than a 4 digit PIN number. By turning off "Simple Password" and choosing only numbers instead and NO letters. You will get a number keypad to unlock the phone instead of a full keyboard. And you can use as many numbers as you would like and you you have to press OK to enter it.
This makes your PIN number much much harder to guess. Since you would need to not only guess the number but also how many digits the pin contains to break in.

Force close a single app by holding the power button until the slide to power off slider appears, then press and hold the home screen button. It will close any app that you are in and also remove it from the RAM, forcing it to completely reload upon re-opening. Fixes many problems.

You can lock your screen in landscape rather than portrait using Assistive Touch (General -> Accessability, and then I recommend assigning the menu to Triple click home for quick access).
Lock orientation as normal then, with an app open, open the Assistive Touch menu. You will have options to rotate the screen in various ways, allowing you to maintain a landscape orientation lock until you change apps.
