You could get a house, invest in a start-up... or buy a diamond-encrusted wristwatch if you are anything like world boxing champ Floyd Mayweather. Or you could decide to pay more for a premium driving experience on the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG--A very rugged high performance off-roader.

Making the best use of this Christmas
After such a long wait for it, at last, Christmas is here again. While many have called it the most wonderful time of the year, others call it the most stressful time of the year. Whereas, there is a third group that are of the opinion that it is a bit of both.
I have over the years moved across the three divides. Growing up, I was responsible for few things so I had all the time to enjoy Christmas and my opinion was that Christmas is such a great season. As a grown up now, with the influx of responsibilities and the dynamics of Lagos traffic situation, I soon convinced myself that to say Christmas is a great season is the farthest thing from the truth. Over the years however, I have through constant exploration and ingenuity discover options that helps me strike a balance.

Which Should I get, a Tesla Model S or an Audi R8?
This originally appeared on Quora and was answered by
The Tesla Model S. It is far more practical than the R8, being a 4 door car and all. Overall, it's a largish hatchback coupe that is sleek and very elegant. Performance wise, it is respectable. Garnering 416 horsepower, it can accelerate faster than most cars at this size and price. 0-60 in 5.1 is not bad at all, especially with an electric motor.

Infographic:A Brief history of self-driving cars
Every day the self-driving car gets closer to becoming a reality of our roads. What must have appeared as science fiction 60 years ago is very much becoming science fact today. While we've all heard of the Google Car and various semi-autonomous features being integrated in designs of cars such as the Model S Tesla, the history of the self-driving car actually goes back a lot further than that. It's actually been a long and slow journey from the radio controlled vehicles of the early twentieth century to the dawn of the self-driving car today.

A Google rival has successfully tested its self-driving car
Driving around Beijing often feels unnervingly like a contact sport, with vehicles recklessly plunging through thick traffic, sneaking along the shoulder, or cutting through red lights—whether pedestrians are trying to cross the road or not. It’s hard to imagine a more challenging situation for a self-driving car.

The smartphone is one of the greatest innovations of our lifetime. It is also one of the biggest sources of mindless distraction to afflict us. For the first time in human history, access to all of the information created and accumulated by humanity is available to anyone, instantly, in the palm of their hand. With voice assistant apps like Google Now and Siri, we don’t even have to press buttons or type anymore. We can contact anyone in the world instantly. Here's what were used to access the internet before Wi-Fi came
Before Wireless we used... wires!
There were several wired technologies used for decades of network. Some are still in use and they are still evolving. The most common is Ethernet over twisted pair copper wires. By the time of Wi-Fi debut, 10Mbps over Cat3 cables and 100Mbps ("fast ethernet") over Cat5 cables, with RJ-45 or 8C8P Modular connector, using either hubs or switches were of common use. Speed up to 10Gbps are available today and 40Gbps is under development.

Reasons why Japanese auto brands beat out their competition in the UK
By Graham D Brown,
You rarely see litter, cigarette buts or dog mess in the streets of Japan. Having lived in both the UK and Japan I can say that Japan is by far the cleanest country of the two. Indeed, when smokers stand outside offices here in Tokyo, they do with their own portable mini-ashtrays. What's that got to do with cars, you may ask? Well, who would you rather have designing your car ABS system? I'd rather have the engineer who is obsessive about cleanliness and doesn't tolerate faults.
