Redditor Ojus Naravane predicted Google Alphablet a year ago

You may know by now that Google is now smaller company under a new company called Alphabet. I'm still still recovering from the shock I got when I first heard the news. That's because no one, not even those who called themselves insiders, had the faintest idea of what Google is bringing to the table.

Anyway, the domain name for the new company Alphabet Inc is owned by another tech giants. l'm talking about the German carmaker BMW.BMW owns the domain name and from the way things are going, they are not ready to give that domain to Google anytime soon. I believe you know the whole gist already, and if not, I will tell you guys all about it on Saturday from a different, entertaining angle.

Yeah, like I said earlier Google rebrands itself and will be called Alphabet Inc, replacing Google Inc. It still beats our imagination why a company like Google acquired itself and chose the name Alphabet. Well, it seems Google opted for the name after hearing of a prediction by a Redditor known as u/ojus or Ojus Naravane last year.

U/ojusn made the prediction by bringing together letters of Google products and services from A to Z  that make up the alphabets in Alphabet Inc, and shared it on Reddit(As seen above). Although he could not suss out something for the letter J. Reddit itself posted Ojus Google alphabet prediction its Twitter handle the day before yesterday.

Here's what he posted to the  social bookmarking site.“Hi guys, thanks for your responses. This is my first redditt. Did not expect more than a couple of vote ups. This is great! for J I think I vote for Google Jaiku and Google Code Jam. Thanks ojusnaravane”It's quite shocking that his first post on the site later became the name of Google's new company alphabet.

After Google co-founder Larry Page broke the news in blog post, One of Naravane friends took to the Microblogging site to send a congratulatory message to him.

Does it mean Reddit's users are shaping the internet?
