Tesla Motors finally took the wraps off its long-awaited luxury sedan, the Model X SUV, last night in Fremont,California. The Model X sport car comes equipped with cutting-edge technologies that sets it apart from other SUVs like Bioweapon Defence mode button and falcon wing doors that swing upward, but it will cost you A LOT of money to keep it permanently in the garage.
Tesla really took the time designing and making the Model X sport utility vehicle. I mean the features in this beauty are enough to woo those who go for gasoline cars over to electric vehicles. For example, the Bioweapon Defence Mode Button in the Model X stops pollutants like bacteria to entering the car. The falcon-wing doors open upward and driver's door opens automatically the moment its sensors sensed you are near the vehicle or and closes by itself when you are inside.
Apart from the aforementioned features of the
Model X all-electric SUV, especially its falcon-wing doors, the car also has some safety features like automatic emergency braking, collision warning,blindspot warning etc. Its windshield is very large extending to the sunroof, allowing you and your partner to catch natures beauty as it takes you guys to your destination.
The Model X, like its older sibling the Model S sedan, is insanely fast.It can travel either 250 or 257 miles on a single charge depending on the model you are driving and gets thrust from its 90 kilowatt-hour battery and electric motors.For clarity, the 2016 Tesla Model X 90D version goes 257 miles while the 2016 Tesla Model X P90D can go 257 miles on full charge.Both versions are all-wheel drive. Like I said, the seven-seats Model X is not for anyone with a $50,000 budget for a car.It is meant
for the rich. The cheaper model, the 90D, will sell for a whooping $132,000 while the more expensive model, the P90D with ludicrous mode will cost you $142,000.Both models will ship to customers next year.The people CEO Elon Musk gave the car keys to during the unveiling on Tuesday night are guys who are well known within the company.
Tesla announced that it will release a cheaper Model dubbed the Model 3 which will reportedly sell for around $35000 in the next two years.So for now you just have to watch your rich neighbour drives his Model X.
