This would allow chrome users access to Android apps. That would be a great idea but a Chrome-Android merger would never happen as the have you believed. Google itself has denied the report from the Journal and said it is focusing more Chrome OS.They twisted an old article and made it seem legit. which is the other way round.
What a rumour--It's been two years working on it and will take them two years to release it. Lest I forget you can run some Android apps in Chrome.
