Chinese manufacturer will produce Tesla Model 3 electric sedan in China

Tesla Model 3
Palo Alto,Calif-based electric vehicle maker Tesla Motors has confirmed through its Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk that it would make its inexpensive Chinese Model S 3 EV in China. The reason, according to Musk, is to bring down production costs and prices of the Model S 3 in China.

With this move Tesla would be free from anything associated with import taxes on vehicles in China. Current China-bound Model S electric sedans are manufactured in the United States of America and Tesla Motors pays through the nose to ship its all electric vehicles to China.

Chinese Tesla clone, the Le car
Elon Musk, who revealed this at China's Tsinghua University recently, was coy about revealing the name of the Chinese company  that will produce its Model 3 electric saloon cars in China. The Model  3 will be in production in China by 2017, and it is rumoured to carry a $35,000 price tag and could have the same falcon wing doors that open upward like the newly introduced Model X SUV. Tesla's smaller, affordable Model S.

This is interesting! A Chinese firm to make Tesla Motors' Model S electric vehicle. Are you having the same thoughts as I am? It's going to be the Model 3 against Tesla's clones.
