While her name might not ring a bell to you(if you live outside America) her friends , those who have worked with her, her family and even forensics expert recognized her voice, and says she is the real Siri.
She revealed it in an interview with CNN, she claims is the original voice of Siri(in America), even though Apple and Nuance, the company she work for declined to comment on the matter. But trust CNN, it took the investigation further by hiring veteran Forensics expert Ed Primeau to actually confirm if her voice matches that of Siri. After he spent more than 4 hours studying Bennett's voice. He arrived at the conclusion "They are identical - a 100 percent match," the expert told CNN.
How Susan Bennett became the voice behind Siri
Way back 2015 a software company known as ScanSoft was in need of someone to be the voice of a database project and they solicited help from GM voice,a company that specializes in voice prompt, and they chose Sussan Bennett. Actually they had someone on their list but he was absent and Bennett replaced him. When they heard the sound of her voice they liked it.
She said she spent 4 hours everyday in her home booth learning all manner of phrases to woo you guys when you hear her give instructions. And it paid off big time.
But it seems Bennett reign is finally over due to the release of iOS 7 which now allows users to pick a male version of Siri voice.Still in doubt, compared the voice yourself below.
