HTC officially launches the One M9 smartphone at MWC 2015

After months of leaks, just a day before Mobile World Congress officially kicks off in Barcelona, Taiwanese smartphone giant HTC took the wraps off its flagship handset, the One M9. Looks like all those who leaked out details of this smartphone got everything right. So I believe you know what the M8 smartphone is made of.

The M9 boasts of a 20-megapixel main camera with sapphire cover lens as earlier rumoured, and uses the Ultrapixel camera on the M8 as it front-facing camera for better selfies. The HTC One M9 specifications include a Qualcomm 810 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with space for up to 126GB via a microSD card and runs on Android 5.0.

An overhaul of the software running on HTC's new device was also heavily referenced, with the Sense 7 native operating system - a HTC-designed version of Android - now coming with a theme generator that evolves based on a user's images and location. HTC says new themes will be downloadable directly from HTC, but users can also use their own photos to create colour-coded themes.

The Sense Home section of the operation system is now location-based, meaning that apps, icons and other features will evolve and change as users move from home to the train station and to work, presenting "relevant" features as you need them.

The HTC One M9 smartphone will come in Gold,Silver and space grey and would go on sale on March 9. No word on pricing.
