Nissan robotic cars will be ready to consumers at realistic prices by 2020, says CEO

In 2007, Nissan Motor Co Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn said his company would produce a lot of cars that do not send out gas into the air(zero-emission) in 2010, and by 2013, The Nissan Leaf became the best-selling electric car in history.
Fast forward to 2015, Ghosn has pledged once again that Nissan driver-less cars pack with its autonomous Drive technology would be on the ready to consumers at realistic prices by 2020. He made this known at the company's headquarters in Yokohama, Japan while replying to questions from reporters on Monday.

If you cast your mind back to 2013, Nissan, in a press release, said its autonomous drive technology would be outfitted in its multiple vehicles by 2020. And that it had begun construction of first dedicated, purpose-built autonomous driving proving ground. And in partnership with some top universities including Oxford and University of Tokyo to work on the tech as part of the project.

However Ghosn stressed that regulators would block off autonomous cars on roads as the technology would have to be approved by them. Younger drivers make up a large population of people who want self-driving cars or autonomous features in their vehicles, according to market studies with consumers carried out by  Nissan.
