Google self-driving car prototype without a steering wheel spotted in Mountain View, California

One of Google's self-driving cars prototype was spotted cruising around  Mountain View, California yesterday morning--1:40 a.m to be precise. A Twitter user named Krishna Vedati took a photo of the said Google car that appeared to be braking. He revealed that the  self-driving prototype he saw  had no steering wheel while being tested on the road. The image doesn't really make it clear there is no steering wheel.

Google already announced last month that its self-driving cars would be heading to public roads in California this summer. It revealed that its cars will have removable steering wheel while being tested and two safety drivers would be on board to take over control if need be.
