Woman duped into buying 'mirror' iPad.
On my way to Ikoyi yesterday, I ran into a woman who was narrating to a man how she was duped into buying an iPad. Although, I have heard such cases before, but this particular story, personally, is really surprising.
According to her, the man approached her saying that he needed cash urgently and was ready to sell his N108,000($800) iPad for N45000($300). The woman saw that price was good so, she paid him the money. The man gave her the iPad without her checking to see what inside, and then drove off.
Immediately the man drove off, she opened the box and to her regret, it was not an iPad but instead, only a mirror. The box had an Apple logo on the front. This made to assume that the product inside was genuine.
Her long for cheap product made her fall for this scammer. I believe this should serve as a warning to those who like to buy expensive products from street vendors, simply because they come cheap.

According to him, his son was insisting to drive the F430 and, since it was his 9th birthday, he gave him the permission to do so. The mother story is even more surprising. She said ''we are proud of him. He has been driving since he was five'' she said. World largest cyberattack suspect arrested in Spain
Last month cyberattack, which was launched from Spain, affected internet service in the Netherlands, UK and the U.S. What led to the cyberattack was a feud between spam fighting group, Spamhaus and those group(Spammers) who sends junk mails(spam) to peoples in inboxes. Spamhaus periodically published the names of the servers those Spammers uses. Don't be surprise, Spamhaus has destroyed innocent websites in the past. It can shutdown a website without court order.
Meanwhile, Police say the Dutch man does most of his sophisticated attacks in his van, and even host interviews with international media firms there.

Google would change the way we search by 2029
Google is looking forward to building a search engine that would change the way we search for information on the platform. It said through Ray Kurzwell, who joined Google last year, that the search giant would integrate a search that would pick up the exact keywords in the user mind when searching for information, base on the type of content the user search for.
Ray Kurzwell said in an interview with Wired that he foresee the vision come to reality by 2029. In his words ''search has moved beyond just finding keywords, but it still doesn't read all these billions of web pages and book pages for semantic content''. If by any chance that vision come to reality, computers would interact with humans. As such, we could ask more complex questions, since computers would already know the human minds.
Ray Kuzwell is optimistic that the vision will come to reality by 2029.
Ray is regarded as one of the world leading futurist. He won the National Media of Technology and Innovation award; the highest technology award in America.

Couple missed out of taking pictures of beautiful tiger, because their camera was taken by the predator
Those of you with ''sharp'' memory would remember sometime last month when I wrote on this blog of Giraffe that attack certain Safari tourists in South Africa. A similar incident recently happened in a reserve in India. But this time, they were not chased or hurt, the predator only took their precious belonging.
A certain couple who went taking safari in Tadoba Andhari tiger reserve in India, missed a golden opportunity of taking pictures of beautiful female tiger---tigress .

Facebook planning to build $1.5 billion data center in Altoona, Lowa
Earlier this year, it was rumored that multi-technology companies, including Apple planned to erect a huge data center in Altoona, Lowa. But today, reports reaching us proves that Facebook will build a huge data center in Lowa.
According to a confirmed source, the social media giant is planning to build a 1.4 million square feet data center in the small town. The project could possibly cost Facebook $1.5 billion.
Facebook already has two data centers in Forest City, N.C. Sweden and one in Lulea, Sweden; but those two are a bit smaller when compared to this one.
Looks to me that our Facebook likes and photos are heading to a new home.

Survey: 19 per cent of U.S consumers likely to buy an Apple iWatch
A few months ago, there were rumours and speculations that Apple was building a smartwatch. A source then calls it an 'iWatch',' since most of Apple branded products starts with the letter 'I'. Then a few weeks later, we heard that Samsung, Google,LG and recently joined Microsoft are building smartwatches. Which means, we have five different smartwatches to choose from.
However, base on consumers reactions, most of them say they would prefer a smartwatch made by Apple.
According to a recent survey conducted by ChangeWave Research on 1713 U.S consumers. it shows that 19 percent want an iWatch when it is made available. 4 per cent say they 'very likely' while an additional 15 per cent say 'somewhat likely'. By this, it shows that U.S consumers buy Apple's idea of developing a smartwatch.
One question, are you one of them?

Two of the newly discovered planets orbit a star smaller and cooler than the sun. Kepler-62f is only 40 percent larger than Earth, making it the exoplanet closest to the size of our planet known in the habitable zone of another star. Kepler-62f is likely to have a rocky composition. Kepler-62e, orbits on the inner edge of the habitable zone and is roughly 60 percent larger than Earth.

Google: you can't resell or loan Glass
After much excitement from the first would-be owners who finally bought Glass for $1500, the search giant is refusing users of the wearable computing to resell or rent the device out
.
.
According to Google ‘terms of service’ concerning Glass, you are not permitted to resell, loan or even auction the device. If you do, Google has the sole rights to deactivate the device, no money back and no access to Glass. It beat my imagination that some companies these days now have the rights to retain their products even after the consumers acquired them.
One would-be owner of Glass auctioned the device on eBay. But, after receiving the news, he halted the auction. The auction began at $5000, and with so many people trying to lay their hands on the device, it’s a lost opportunity to make $100,000 off something that only cost $1500.
Mind you, Google knows when you resell or loan the device because each device is registered under the buyer’s Google accounts.
