News making the rounds on the internet is that Sony is developing a 12.9-inch tablet to take on Apple's next iPad, the iPad Pro and Microsoft's surface Pro 3. The laplet is expected to be launch in the first quarter of 2015 and Petragon Technology will manufacture the tablet. In case you don't know, Petragon Technology is the same company producing Apple's iPads and Microsoft's Surface tablets.
While the ''people with knowledge of the matter'' did not reveal the tablet name, they did not disappoint when it came to the device specs and pricing. According to them, the unnamed tablet will spot a 4K display, an 8MP rear camera, will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and run on the latest version of Android, 5.0 Lolliop.
As regards pricing, they said Sony's tablet could likely cost as much as $1000 and above. Quite expensive huh? Next year will be the year of super-sized tablets.As smartphones get bigger, so are tablets.
