Nvidia's new superpowerful Tegra X1 chip will enable self-driving cars with Drive PX and CX auto-pilot computers

Chipmaker Nvidia unveiled the world's most powerful mobile chip the Tegra X1(Heard it offers one teraflop of processing power) at the on-going Internal Consumer Electronics Show and says it will let cars to drive themselves.

The Computer chipmaker, known for its powerful chips in Gaming consoles and phablets such as the Nexus 9, showed off its two Drive PX and Drive CX auto-pilot computers which are powered by the new Tegra X1 chip. While lasers and radars help current self-driving(like Google's prototype) to stay on the road, Nvidia's Drive PX computer  identifies pedestrians, traffic lights. cyclist and distinguishes vehicles like police cars and provides  the data to you in real time(video).

Also, the Drive X computer in the car could allow it find parking spot and comes back in time to pick you up just by using a smartphone.
