Tizen operating system hasn't gotten much attention as it deserves. But its maker Samsung is not ready to give up on it. The South Korean tech giant spilled the beans about its upcoming smart TVs, revealing that they will run its ''not-yet-successful'' Tizen operating system this year.
But why Tizen of all operating system? With Samsung smart TVs running on Tizen OS, you will be able to watch live TV on your Galaxy mobile devices---even if the TV is turned off. The Tizen-based smart TVs will first make the connection over WiFi direct and then connect to your Galaxy phones and tablets via Bluetooth, provided they are within range.
Samsung had revealed prototypes of its Tizen-powered TVs back at its Tizen Developers' Conference and even promised to show off the TVs at the international Consumer Electronics Show(CES 2015 Las Vegas). See pictures of Samsung Tizen Smart Tvs(prototypes)
