We are already aware of the iPod classic demise. Earlier this month reports surfaced that Apple would halt iPad Mini production. Now there are widespread rumours that Apple might stop manufacturing the iPhone5C, that cheaper, colourful version of the iPhone5S. Taiwan's Industrial and Commercial times was the first to spread the rumour. Although it did not give a reason for this.
The iPhone5C was launched in September of 2013 as a budget iPhone. But, despite the smartphone $550 price tag, phone shoppers always look past it and picked the pricier iPhone 5S instead whenever they out shopping for a new phone.Maybe because the iPhone5C is plastic and lacks some of the amazing features seen on the iPhone 5S like the Touch ID fingerprint scanner.
Apple decision to kill the iPhone 5C line(if we are to go by the rumour) could be the same reason why customers rejected the device or, because it doesn't support its mobile payment system Apple Pay or the presence of the bigger iPhones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
