Samsung latest wearable technology, the Gear S smartwatch, is now available to anyone in the United States of America, starting today. The smartwatch is also being sold by UK's phone company O2.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear S smartwatch runs on the company's own Tizen operating system and uses a SIM card, which means you can make and receive phone calls and even send text messages with the Gear S; just as you would with a smartphone. So you don't need to pair it with a phone like the other Gear smartwatches.
It has a 2.0 curve Super Amoled display(with a resolution of 360x480), a dual core 1.0GHz processor, a 512MB RAM , 4GB of internal memory and uses a 300mAh battery.
Samsung didn't reveal pricing for the device in the US, but based on O2's pricing, I can safely say the Gear S will cost around $350 in the US.
My question to you is, will you upgrade from your Gear/Neo smartwatch to the Gear S?
