Read Benjamin Yonattan's touching message of how Google Glass is helping him to see better

In the past year, without much vision, I knew what the name was of a movement, so I knew what to do. It was in my head, from dancing for eight years. So if the teacher said a combination with an arabesque, I knew what to do. It's kind of hard, and it takes a lot of thinking. I think that this having to think and know the moves has made my ballet and dancing better. I have had to balance by feeling, which has made me a better dancer.

Today, I used Google Glass in ballet class and I actually saw the movements from the teacher first. It was so much easier! Before using the Glass, it was hard to stay on count with everyone exactly. With it, I can see how others are moving and be able to match to that. It has been a year since I could do that. This makes me feel so good, happy, joyful, and blessed because of everyone who helped me to get Google Glass. Already it is changing the way I move.

Another thing I have noticed. Other kids didn't treat me that well when I didn't have the Google Glass and was more blind in how I moved. Now everyone is talking to me. They know I can see them, and they're acting differently to me. I find that interesting because I'm the same person. Don't treat a person who is blind or has another disability in a different way. We can tell the difference. And it's not right. It makes the person feel down. That's just how I've felt.

Again thank you so much for everyone helping. I'm still legally blind but it's pretty wonderful to be able to see more with the Google Glass.
