Japanese Engineer Kazuhiro of HiroshimA City University has built a earring-like personal computer that can be controlled by facial expressions such as wiggling the nose or blink of an eye. Say you want to open a program, you could do that by wiggling your nose or sticking out your tongues. Very nasty I know.
The device works with any Bluetooth-enabled phone. It has a speaker, Bluetooth, Microphone, infra-red sensors and accelerometer.
It uses Infra-red sensors to pick up movements in the ear and the built-in acelerometer monitors the elderly and disable. For example, it can alert or call the wearer's family or ambulance if the individual falls over. It can also be used to monitor pulse and body temperature
The hands-free device will go public in April 2016.
