13 year-old boy slit friend's throat in an argument about Xbox games

Playing violent games might have some negative effects in the lives of children. This is so because, as teens, they practice whatsoever that is appealing to them; be it violent or non violent stuff.
A 13 year has slit the throat of his friend as a result of an argument over Xbox games.
The pair who met online and in person during Christmas time in 2011, played football together with their friends
before the fallout occurred. According to the victim, they had a sharp disagreement  about the Xbox games they had been playing, the adult game ''Gears of War 3''. This later turned to name calling.
So, one night while the accused and his friend were walking down the street, they ran into the victim. You know, guys like to test their strength to see who is more stronger. The accused therefore grabbed the victim, and slit his throat in Clydebank, West Dunbarton. They left him lying in the pool of his blood. When paramedics arrived at the scene, he told them his friend slit his throat as a result of game argument.
The boy was later caught and charge to court. When questioned in court, the accused did not say a word. It was later understood that he had sent apologies to the boy. He wrote in the first letter via Xbox live ''Honestly you don't know how upset I am.I am an idiot. Then another ''I know I will go to jail, but I am sorry''. Police say the violent game played a key role in the act.
Sentencing is due to take place later this month.
