Techno launched new smartphone in Nigeria, plans to build a phone factory

Techno, the fastest growing phone maker in Nigeria has partnered with telecom operator Etisalat, and launched a new smartphone into the Nigerian market on Tuesday, the new Techno P3 dual sim smartphone. The company said it also plans to build a phone in Nigeria.
Speaking at the launch event in Lagos, Arif Chowdhury,
Vice President Techno group said Techno has carried out several research and come up with a smartphone that will satisfy the needs of consumers. He went further to decried that consumers still see Techno's high-tech products as ''China phones'' and this public given tag has made Techno to experience low sales sometimes. He, however, said with the release of the P3, consumers will abolish that concept and welcome Techno products for what they are, and not see them as ''China phones''.

The new Techno P3 dual sim smartphones is an all touchscreen enabled smartphone that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, 3G/2G connectivity, WiFi capability, long battery life and powered by Qualcomn Snapdragon(Techno also partnered with Qualcomn).
Consumers can pick up their Techno P3 smartphones at any of Etisalat experience centers in the country, and will receive 100MB of free internet access for 12 months. Consumers who buy their P3 from Techno's partnered retailers or dealers are also entitled to the same 100Mb of free internet for 12 months.
