According to Forbes report , a 25 year-old Law student of University of Texas Cody Wilson has made the world first 3D-prnted handgun.
The 3D-printed gun, ''Liberator'' as it is called can fire real bullet even though it is a plastic gun. According to Defence Distributed which is
now a legal gun manufacturer after obtaining a firearms license, CAD files of the printed gun will be made available online once the gun has been tested thoroughly. This would allow others to print their own guns. The news of the 3D-printed gun has awaken lawmakers to seek ban on the plastic gun.
You guys already know the situation on ground in the U.S---gun control. Lawmakers are seeking that strong measures should be put in place in time to stop the printing of guns.Because metal detectors can't recognize plastic guns.
As such, Forbes report that in order not to violent the 1988 undetected firearms Act, Defence Distributed has placed six-ounce piece of steel in to the 3D- printed gun so that it can be detected by metal detectors.
But one question in the minds of people is, How would lawmaker go about it? since there are people out there who doesn't keep to the law. They could print the gun without following right process.
