Apple wants to let you use your iPhone as a remote control

Apple’s next big thing: Your iPhone controls your home
That sounds good to me.

Apple is reportedly planning to showcase a smart home system that will let you control all appliances, lights and security systems in your home with your iPhone. The new system would turn your iPhone into a remote control. Apple will integrate the technology at next month's Apple's World Wide Developer Conference(WWDC) in San Francisco.

Apple has been talking to a select group of other device makers whose smart home products will be certified to work with its forthcoming new system and then be sold in its retail stores. 
You just enter your home and turn on your light and all new ''smart home appliances'' with your iPhone.
