It seems Samsung has jump on the Virtual Reality Headset Bandwagon. The South Korea electronics giant is reportedly making a virtual reality headsets for its Galaxy phones and tablets. Sources with knowledge of the matter revealed to technology blog Engadget. The head mounted display is being manufacture by the company's mobile division.
Samsung's and Sony's project Morpheus. Prototype versions of the headsets is already available to developers (Which is powered by some unnamed Galaxy phones) and will run on the next generation of Galaxy phones and tablets. The report says Samsung would sell the finished model later this year.
According to what the sources revealed to Engadget, Samsung's 'Galaxy' virtual reality headset has an OLED screen and performs better than Oculus Rift development kit. The device is meant to support Android games.
