There are 26000 bacteria on a 1 pound coin, yet Britons never wash their hands after handling them

As most of you know, not washing your hands after handling cash is unhygienic. There are more than 26,000 bacteria on a single European bank note. There are more bacteria on a 1 Pound coin than a cleaned toilet seat. But, despite being aware of it, only one out of five Europeans admit to washing their hands after holding cash. Men are even the worst according to a MasterCard study.

The study confirms that Europeans never wash their hands after handling cash. Britons are more likely not to wash their hands. France and Hungary are not left out.

A disappointing 55 percent of men don't wash their hands, whereas 40 percent of women don't. I close my face in shame.

The Mstercard study also shows that four in ten Europeans say they will try as much as possible to be more hygenic after handling money.

The UK will use plastic bank notes so that they are dirt-proof and very difficult to fake. The country's apex bank signed an agreement with Innovia Security in March to get polymers for its 5 pound and 10 pound notes.

We love money too much. That's why people don't like to attach anything negative to money. Money answers all things.
