Huawei launches successor to the Ascend P6

Huawei has launched the successor to , the P7 at a global launch event in Paris, France today. The new smartphone has one thing that its rival don't.

The Ascend P7 has an 8MP front-facing camera, yes your eyes are not deceiving you. The phone's front camera is as resolute as many competitors rear camera sensor. The iPhone 5S is good example. I think those who love to take  selfies will find this phone's 8MP rear camera useful.

Oh we got carried away by the phone's front camera. The Ascend P7 has a brilliant 13MP rear camera, a true S5 competitor. Last year's P6 has a brushed metal back, but the P7 design is brilliant. A Gorilla Glass on the front and back of the smartphone. See complete review from the Cnet team.

The Ascend P7 runs on the latest version of Google mobile operating system, Android 4.4 KitKat with the company's Emotion interface. It does not use Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chips, instead powered by a Kirin 910T quad-core processor.

The new phone comes on stream in June in Europe and Asia and sells for 449 euros or $625. That's all I know for now.
