Report: Samsung to introduce smartwatch that need not be connected to a smartphone

Samsung had already shipped(not sold) 500,000 out of the total 700,000 smartwatches shipped globally in the first three months of this year. It appears the Korean tech giant wants to extend that margin with a new smartwatch. Samsung reportedly making a new smarwatch that doesn't need to be connected to a smartphone.

Samsung's new smartwatch, according to the Wall Street Journal, can make and receive phone calls, send emails, capture images and is able to monitor your heart rate etc. without depending on a smartphone connection to function. It will come with its own SIM card. The It will also include a camera, Bluetooth and GPS.

Samsung is expected to launch the new watch in the next few months(Maybe in June or July)

The idea of a Smartwatch not depending on a smartphone connection sounds good to me.I mean,  it will help ease the burden of over reliance on our phones.
