Iran bans WhatsApp because Mark Zuckerberg owned it

Iran committee on internet crimes  has banned Mark Zuckerberg's WhatsApp, owing to believe that the Facebook founder is an ''American Zionist.'' As you know, Zuckerberg has a Jewish background. Iran believe Zuckerberg is trying to start a ''Zionism'' movement.

But not everyone in Iran is pleased with the ban on WhatsApp. Some top government officials do not support the ban.

A Blogger who pleaded not be mentioned, said the country's revolutionary Guard see social media sites as a major threat, a platform that gives Iranians the power and freedom to air their views. Some group had used social media sites to organize and carried out mass protest against Iran former president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
